Slap & Track Trailer Tracking
TransCore’s Slap & Track™ provides fully integrated, two-way satellite communications to locate and track trailers. The compact core modem lets you poll truck locations and send/receive reports anywhere in North America. Most companies choose pre-scheduled polling twice each day, but you can also poll on demand. The convenient, Web-based interface gives you easy access to a variety of useful information, including Location, Dwell Time and Proximity Reports.

Specifications:
- Single, integrated unit that includes batteries and an antenna
- Unit measures just 0.8 x 4.5 x 20 inches providing an undetectable low profile
- Meets SAE J1455 specifications for rugged automotive use in all weather conditions
- Operates normally within temperature ranges from -104° to 185° Fahrenheit (-40° to +85° Centigrade)
- Batteries last up to five years with normal use, defined as one pre-scheduled daily report on a 30-minute wake-up cycle from the unit’s battery-conserving standby mode
- Some models include a removable battery pack that can be replaced without opening the mobile terminal unit and exposing its delicate electronics
- Integrates with major dispatch software
Installation:
- Takes less than 15 minutes whether the trailer is loaded or empty
- Once the unit is installed on the trailer, it powers up automatically and registers itself on the network
- All further configuration, such as scheduling position report intervals, can be done remotely
